Complete Order Workflow

From discovery to completion - here's how it all works

Registration & Profile Setup

Freelancer: Create account → Choose "Offer Services" → Complete profile with skills, bio, and portfolio → Add bank details (Account number, IFSC, PAN) → Set hourly rate → Create your first service with pricing

Client: Create account → Choose "Hire Talent" → Complete profile with company info (optional) → Add payment method → Ready to browse services

📌 Key Point: Both users must accept Terms of Service and Privacy Policy during registration. Email verification required.

Service Discovery & Browsing

Client Actions:

Order Placement & Payment

Process:

  1. Client clicks "Order Now" on service page
  2. Provide detailed requirements and attachments
  3. Review order summary with pricing breakdown:
    • Service Price: ₹10,000
    • Platform Fee (14%): ₹1,400
    • GST on Fee (18%): ₹252
    • Total to Pay: ₹10,252
  4. Complete payment via Razorpay (Cards, UPI, Net Banking, Wallets)
  5. Funds held in escrow (not released to freelancer yet)
  6. Order created with "pending" status

🔒 Security: Your payment is held securely until work is completed. Freelancer receives payment only after you approve the delivery.

Order Acceptance & Communication

Freelancer Actions:

  • Receive notification of new order

  • Order status changes to "in_progress"
  • Start working on deliverables

Communication:

⚠️ Important: Freelancers should accept orders only if they can deliver as per requirements. Declining too many orders may affect your account standing.

Work Delivery & Review

Freelancer Delivers:

  1. Complete work according to requirements
  2. Upload deliverables (files, links, documents)
  3. Add delivery message explaining the work
  4. Submit delivery - client gets notified
  5. Order status changes to "delivered"

Client Reviews:

  • Download and review all deliverables
  • Check if work meets requirements
  • 3 options available:
    • Accept: Mark order as complete
    • Request Revision: Ask for changes (if revisions included)
    • Dispute: Raise issue if work is unsatisfactory

⏰ Auto-Accept: If client doesn't respond within 7 days, order is automatically marked as complete to protect freelancer.

Order Completion & Payment Release

When Client Accepts:

  1. Order status changes to "completed"
  2. Payment released from escrow
  3. Platform deducts 14% commission (₹1,400 from ₹10,000)
  4. Freelancer receives ₹8,600 in account
  5. Payment transferred within 1-3 business days
  6. Both parties can leave reviews and ratings

(Includes ₹252 GST on platform fee)

💰 Earnings: Freelancers receive 86% of service price. GST is on platform commission only, not on your earnings.

What happens when an order needs to be cancelled
